JOHANNESBURG – Talented South African-based Zimbabwean rapper and singer, 2Bowbow, has released his third musical offering – a sizzling album titled 2Bowbow’s Trial Done.
The album comes about seven years after the musician, born Callmore Mpofu, released another scorcher, 2Bowbow Versus The State, his second album, in 2013.
The new album contains hits that have enjoyed fair play in a number of radio stations that include Zimbabwe’s Khulumani FM, Skyze Metro, National FM, RadioZimbabwe and Star FM.
Some of the hot tracks in the album include Abas’dedele, Passenger Seat, Mhlabuyahlaba, Qed’amasports, Tabatwa, among a number of others.
“This time I worked with some big names who include PTK, the Ghost Rider, Slim J, Messenger, Nezie Diko, Yanny, Mr Vee Swagga, Covernant-QED, Professor Nadie and Thabo Tbos Ledwaba to come out with this polished album,” said 2Bowbow in an interview with AfricanVoice Global earlier this week.
“The world is in a critical condition right now both in terms of health, social activities and the state of the economy – all caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, so I would like to advise people to follow government rules and follow all health protocols as directed for them to stay safe. There is still life to live after pandemic.”
The musician featured a mixture of Zimbabwean, Malawian and South African artists in his album to make it appeal to tastes of people from both sides of the Limpopo River and the rest of the SADC region.
