Maritzburg United chairman Farook Kadioda has not ruled the possibility of signing a player Kaizer Chiefs are going to part with at the end of June.
Ryan Moon, a former Maritzburg forward, is set to leave Amakhosi when his contract expires at the month and the Team of Choice are open to having the player back to beef up their squad for the new campaign.
KickOff.com were reliable informed that the striker will be heading to KZN to revive his career after Amakhosi confirmed that they would not be renewing his contract.
In a special open discussion hosted by Kadioda at Harry Gwala Stadium on Monday, the chairman didn’t rule out a reunion with his development player and says the salary might be the only thing that can stop the deal to happen.
“Ryan Moon was playing for us, he was part of our development. Football has funny stories and can be cruel. When Steve Komphela was our coach, Moon was just a five years project in our development and when Steve left he signed him and now suddenly Komphela is no longer there, Moon is out,” Kadodia said.
“We have to see what kind of appetite he has. At Chiefs he was probably earning a certain amount which made him live a lifestyle that accommodates his cheque. We can’t really give him that, that means he will have to change and the question is how we will be able to deal with that situation? That’s the reason I haven’t rushed on his situation.” Kickoff
