New Kaizer Chiefs striker Lazarous Kambole has sent out a warning to his compatriots Justin Shonga and Augustine Mulenga, who he’ll face for the first time in a Soweto Derby this weekend.
Kambole has been voted into Amakhosi’s starting line-up for the Carling Black Label Cup which will be played at FNB Stadium on Saturday (15h00), and his compatriots will be on the opposite side leading the Pirates attack.
Kambole says while he considers Shonga and Mulenga his brothers, Saturday’s day is going to be “war” and he’s ready to make an instant impact in South African football, as Amakhosi fans pin their hopes on the Zambian hitman.
“Concering the game against Pirates, of course it’s going to be a great game, it’s going to be war,” the former Zesco United player said.
“On the pitch there’s nothing like they are my brothers. Yes they are my brothers, but on that day it’s going to be war. We are going to be enemies. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
Asked who is going to be the “killer” in the Soweto Derby, Kambole said: “Of course Khama Billiat and I.”
Kambole will start upfront with Bernard Parker, who is the only player from both Chiefs and Pirates to receive over 100 000 votes from the supporters. Kickoff
