Zimbabwe: Alpha Media Holdings online radio a hit at ZITF

BULAWAYO – One of Zimbabwe’s leading independent media house, Alpha Media Holdings, made waves during its debut appearance at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair which ended in Bulawayo at the weekend – getting inundation of visitors at the stand of its online radio and television broadcasting platform, Heart and Soul.

“We have deliberately made it more dominant on our ZITF stand as digital is the future of the media business,” said Heart and Soul Broadcasting Services chief executive officer and AMH chief operating officer Kangai Maukazuva.

The 60th edition of the  annual exhibition conference, which ran under the theme Propagating Industrial Growth through Trade and Investment, saw a total of 532 local exhibitors and sixteen foreign countries taking part on its opening day.

“This platform enables the local exhibitors to mingle as well as network with the foreign exhibitors., We look forward to more international exhibitors next time ,” said Vice President Kembo Mohadi during a tour of the stands.

AMH was awarded broadcasting a licence by the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) in terms of  Section 10 of the Broadcasting Services Act and has officially been on air since January.

World’s best breakfast and morning latte are some of the programs offered by the station.

“This is the first digital tele-radio that offers informative entertainment to a global audience,”said the station manager Ian Venganai.
