Zimbabwe Warriors Captain, Knowledge Musona’s Belgium future in doubt
Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona is back in Belgium to start training with his club Anderlecht FC after featuring at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The Belgian football giants are expected to make a decision on the future of the Zimbabwean striker after he spent some time on loan to Lokeren in the second half of last season.
Anderlecht head coach Vincent Kompany is said to be be struggling to trim his squad as they expect about 10 players back from loan.
South African giants Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be closely monitoring the situation between Anderlecht and their former striker.
Musona had an unhappy stint at the club last season and as a result was loaned out to Lokeren, Ayanda Patosi’s former club.
According to Zimbabwean publication The Herald, Musona’s fate at Anderlecht was supposed to be determined last week.
The Warriors captain signed a four-year deal when he joined the club last season.
“You will find out soon. I’m starting training tomorrow, I was on vacation,” Musona said when asked to comment on his future. Kickoff.com
